Tuniac 1.0

When you think about music managers, iTunes is probably the first option that comes to mind. But that doesn't mean you should discount the alternatives. Tuniac is one such alternative: a light and fast music manager that doubles as an audio player. While it doesn't feature as many tools and options as other managers, Tuniac is a perfectly valid tool if all you need is a simple, unobtrusive manager with playback capabilities. Tuniac creates a library with all your music and then lets you create as many playlists as you want. The program also includes a built-in search tool to browse your MP3.

Tuniac is a simple utility inspired by iTunes, designed to play a multitude of audio formats and to create music playlists.

The simplicity of the user interface does not imply the various advanced functions Tuniac can perform.

The layout is neatly organized, with only the essential controls displayed, in order to leave a small resources footprint.

During playback, Tuniac can be minimized to the notification area. While it is maximized, it can prevent your computer to enter the screensaver mode. It also can be made to be always displayed on top of the other applications.

Tuniac can be set to display graphic visual effects in tune with the rhythm of the played audio files.
Multitude of supported formats

The application was designed to play most of the audio formats, such as MP3, 3GP, OGG, AC3, MIDI, MPC, TTA, WV or even radio streaming.

You can import directories, files or streams into Tuniac, organize the audio tracks in playlists and then save or export them.

Even though not all the functions are visible or are assigned a quick shortcut button on the interface, Tuniac bundles useful features like shuffle play, repeat or play a random file.

You can personalize the sound output by adjusting the equalizer the way you prefer. Also, you can make the audio tracks to crossfade, for a more fluent playback.

Tuniac also has a preview function, where you can view the album art of the audio files. For each music track, Tuniac can display a multitude of information, such as URL, file name, artist, album title, track genre, size, the date it was added or last played, bitrate, channels, BPM and many more.

Even though it looks like a simple application, Tuniac bundles a multitude of advanced functions in order to make the playback of your audio files a lot more enjoyable.
