Windows 10 Color Control 1.1

Windows 10 Color Control allows you to get the most out of the Windows 10 color scheme by exploiting an undocumented registry key which makes Explorer use an alternative color calculation algorithm, the result is a brighter color palette to work with. This is a simple program that allows you to take advantage of brighter than default colors for Windows 10. Adding another layer of control to your experience while using the new OS. It is straight to the point and easy to use. Coupled with an extremely small footprint it makes for a nice bright alternative to the dark default color scheme.

Unlike previous iterations of Windows, the latest Windows 10 offers a limited number of colors in its default palette. It doesn't even enclose the color mixer in Windows 8.1, which enables the user to adjust the hue, saturation and brightness of a chosen color. Windows 10 Color Control aims to solve this issue.

With a self-explanatory name, this lightweight application provides instant access to the full 65,536 colors instead of the 48 presets available in Windows 10.

In other words, you will be able to choose any hue you want to personalize the appearance of your working environment.

Windows 10 Color Control gathers information about the currently selected colors, displaying them in preview mode. To pick new colors, you must press the designated button, and the familiar 'Colour' window is instantly displayed, enabling you to find the hue you are looking for.

You can pick any color you want for the window borders and for other elements, such as the taskbar and the Start Menu. Furthermore, 10 Color Control enables you to adjust the hue, saturation, RGB values and the luminance values. Changes are applied on the spot, without even requiring a Windows Explorer restart.

There is an additional option to disable the new auto-color accent algorithm (that is the term in the system's registry), which results in the usage of an alternative color picking algorithm that enables users to choose brighter colors in Windows 10.

Windows 10 Color Control requires no installation, so you just have to double-click on the main executable to launch it. However, please note that it is not a portable app since it does affect the system's registry.

It is a good way to enrich the default color palette of Windows 10 and the personalization possibilities with it.
